Marking 100 years!



On August 1, 1992 the descendants of Thomas & Maria Pott gathered
on the property of the original homestead to commemorate this cairn
to mark the 100th anniversary of the arrival of Thomas & Maria along
with their 10 children. In the years to follow 3 more children would be
born. The day would include speeches from the Reeve of the municipality
and the Member of Parliament along with the reading of letters of well wishes from
the Province of Manitoba, Prime Minister of Canada and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
