The last post.....

The last post does not mean I'm not going to post any thing more, it refers to the numerous family members that have been part of the Army, Air force or Navy during the two world wars and other major conflicts since the second world war. The men and women of the day laid their lives on the line so that we could enjoy the life that my Great grandparents set out to provide. The men listed below were from my Mom's family that participated during WWI. Some returned home and sadly some did not.

From L-R:
Unknown, Unknown, Charles H. Pott (sitting), Edmund Pott, Wilfred J. Mason (sitting).

The Picture to the left is a portrait of two sons of Thomas and Maria Pott and one of their grandson. Ed served overseas from 1914 to 1918 during World War I with the 78 Battalion as a stretcher-bearer. He spoke of Vimy Ridge but otherwise said little of the war years. Both Charles and Wilfred were killed overseas.
